I have a Hoppe-style cue from a very well known maker and the ivory ring has cracked. Is replacing it a major deal? Thanks.

If it is an original style of Hoppe ring it is easily repaired. If it is a modern conversion and not installed as Rambo did it could be more difficult/expensive.

Thanks. It's a Scruggs cue. I'll probably just let it go--I use the cue as a player, not a collector--but was curious about how difficult replacement of the ring would be.
