cracked shaft help

My predator recently developed 4-5 vertical cracks near the ferrule - a few long (4 inches) and a few short (2 inches), and the ferrule almost looks like when your fingernail is really dry and ridgy, almost slightly buckling, and I have no idea what caused it, because it wasn't ever really exposed to extreme temperatures and I took great care of it and never broke or massed with it. Any ideas? Haven't heard anything back from predator but I'm pretty sure they won't replace it...

But I also wanted to know if there was a thin strong glue I could use on it and that I could brush lightly into the cracks and clamp it together, that could be cleaned off the rest of the shaft when dry so I could at least salvage it for a little while. Or any other advice would be great. Thanks
 
If Pred won't replace it, there are several super glues available from model shops.
There is a toughened thin super glue.BS industries are the brand. That would most likely be the best bet.The toughened glues have a really good shock resistance as well.Quite a few were originally designed for the rc car tire market.It sounds like you should take it to a cue maker to fix it with a replaced ferrule.Unless you have a lathe and can do the work yourself.

He does all the Predator repairs for Seyberts.

Well KJ asked me to wait on Predator, who hasn't gotten back to me in over a week now after a few emails so I'm going to call, but I figured this might happen considering what I've heard about their customer service. I'm honestly thinking of just switching to OB. And yeah I figured the glue thing wouldn't work out well, I just definitely can't afford a new shaft and I was hoping to be able to finish out the APA session with at least a usable cue. Sucks cause I was finally getting into a really good groove lately. But as for cleaning I used rubbing alcohol with off brand magic erasers, but I never used it on the ferrule either way. KJ said under these (apparently rare) circumstances that Predator will replace it, but I'm not holding my breath.
 
I have sent 3 shafts back to predator for various reasons they replaced them all.
I called them in Florida # is on their site.
