Use loc tite LIQUID super glue, the kind in small tooth paste looking tubes..use a pool ball about a inch or so above the slate top surface and bounce it lightly near crack. U will hear a unsolid sound in the slate..put 1 continuous piece of tape over the crack on bottom and side..poor the super glue in the crack from top side and bounce that pool ball as you were before in the area of the crack to get the glue deep in the crack, fill the crack all the way with glue from top, let it set up, flip slate and see how well its filled on bottom..if not filled, repeat what u did on top...your slate crack looks small and out of the playing surface...use 3M scotch grip yellow 10 to glue wood slate framing...I would suggest not use framing on slate...use the 3M glue to glue the cloth on, and use glens gluing system '. All the wood is there for is to hold staples when installing cloth with staples...don't use staples''
Much better and tighter with glue'

If you caused the crack I can see why your asking. But if you bought it new they should replace the set for free IMO
