I was near the end of a break & run out in 8 ball. I shot the 2nd. to last ball into one of the left foot end corner pocket & planned to out for 3 ball which was in the exact middle of the table, but... I nipped a stripe & got stuck behind & in a cluster of stripes.
My Dad told me that there is always a shot you just need to find it. Well I was looking & looking & thinking I know my Dad didn't lie to me & then I saw it. A path between 2 stripes with about an 1/8 inch of free space to the head end side rail & I had english. I hit it through with running right hand English & went 3 rails & cut the 3 ball from the exact middle of the table into the side pocket.
My opponent started to get up & I asked him, "Where you going. I called that." He said, "Oh yeah, you did."
I've tried that shot a few times since & I send the ball toward the side packet but have not made again.
