Is there any advantage to this type of bridge, why do alot of pros use it?

Since when did people started using it, I saw some matches by Mosconi and his contempories and they were only using the regular close bridge.

Karambolista, I guess the people who use the cross-over bridge are comfortable with its feel. I've tried it a couple of times and never liked it.

I have a lot of different feels with my bridge hand. A lot of my shots, I use my bridge hand to help me shoot the balls in accurately by maneuvering it in a lot of ways. It enables you to develop your correct feels for each shot. Sometimes it's looser, and other times, it's firm.

Hope this helps. Good luck to you. :)
