Cross slide - is something missing

Yes. I am saying use the new smaller roller bearing with the larger spring for both the butt bar and shaft bar and get the bolt heads counter sank where they do not stick out the front of the large middle bar.

Will do...if I have any trouble using it as is. Countersinking them is currently difficult with the tools I have. I could do it but it would be sloppy. If I need to I could take it to a local machinist shop, but didn't think it was necessary.
