Crowd at World Cup of Pool

Booooed? We have been a laughing joke in the world ever since the new presidency took over in 2008....

Actually, based on some recent discussions while I was traveling in Central Europe earlier this year... the overall vibe I got towards our president was quite the opposite. In fact, I'd say he's more popular overseas (at least in Europe) than he is here.

It's no secret England hates Earl along with most people on this forum. I'm just not one of 'em. GO USA!!!!

I don't think ENGLAND hate Earl. Hate is a strong word! Perhaps some of the English players participating in this years WCOP do not like Earl, but to generalise is way off the mark.

I think the English (wcop audience) like a GOOD 'OL SCRAP and just want to see some sparks, which of course Earl is all too happy to oblige. This makes for great sport!

Russia gets applause as they enter. USA is booed.

Disgraceful.

I believe it was Barry Bonds who said, "they don't boo mediocre players."

Free speech (even in other countries) means that sometimes people will say things that you don't agree with or that make you feel bad.

Unless there were tomatoes thrown, none of them fit either.
