I kept hearing this crunching sound on my Mac today. Since I have had problems with a heat sensor, and also with colored lines on boot-up, I panicked. Could not figure out what the sound was for anything - I even did a search on the internet to try to see if anyone else had this mysterious "crunching sound" problem.

Just figured it out - AZ forum was in the background. It's that ad in the upper-right hand corner with the cue hitting the ball. Damn.
 
I agree - ads with sound are crossing the line. Allow me to turn the sound ON in an ad - dont' force me to turn it off, or worse force me to go way from your page because I am annoyed. Hopefully Mr. Howerton will make the decision not to accept ads with sounds in them. Especially ones that aren't easily identifiable as having produced the sound and therefore rob people of time trying to find the source.
