CSI 10 ball

yeah I cant say i'm too crazy about this kind of format/bracket.

I guess they did it this way so we can see more matches between players from different countries.

I would've like to see Mike Deshaine get some TV time. The stream with Mike and Dennis wouldl've been great to see.

Darren makes nice kick to pot 1 and run out rack 2
Now 1-1
Also 1-1 on other match Orcullo-Dechaine

I heard ken mention something about whoever won the most games in the match that they lost.

If one of the three had beaten the other two, that might decide it. If they had all lost once, then use the differential in games.

Chang stole Darren's break and now 4-3
Chang breaking
Orcullo showing Dechaine how to play on other table leading 4-2

Here are the scores of the two losses.

Van Boening 9-5 over Kiamco
Kiamco 9-5 over KO

Since both Kiamco and Ko only got to 5 if by chance Kiamco beats Hohmann,
and Ko beats Van Boening, but Shane gets to 6 then I guess Shane moves on.
Does this sound correct?

Of coarse if Kiamco loses and Ko beats Shane then KO would move on.

For each player, it might be total games won in all three of his matches minus total games lost in all three of his matches. Best differential wins.

Man, that guys talks A LOT ... and WAY over-analyze everything. I'm between rock and the hard place as i don't want to watch it in mute. I want to hear the table, balls hitting but these announcers are talking way too much, for my taste.

I'm sure they are way underpaid and should be appreciated more but I wish we have pool version of Jim Nantz and Ken Venturi.

That is about right if decided based on racks won between them
But what if Ko beats Shane 9-5 and Kiamco beats Hohmann :grin-square:
Then I think they go on racks won and lost on other matches

Shane games won so far 18 - games lost 12 = + 6
Match scores

Record:
Van Boening vs. Hohmann 9-7
Van Boening vs Kiamco 9-5

*********

Kiamco games won so far 14 - games lost 14 = 0

Record:
Kiamco vs. Van Boening 5-9
Kiamco vs. Ko 9-5

*********

Ko games won so far 14 - games lost 16 = - 2

Record:
Ko vs. Kiamco 5-9
Ko vs. Hohmann 9-7

So the real question is does anyone really know how CSI is determining the out come ???

By confusion you mean just like the main stream sports where
even the sports talk show hosts get confused with the wild cards
and everything near the playoffs.
