CTE at SBE

Stan,

Next year I think it would be a great idea to have a booth dedicated to CTE. I have had at least 20 people come up to me at SBE and thank me (and you) for doing CTE videos. Some of them have questions and I have spent a little time on the table after the booth closes with a few of them.

I honestly think you could arrange in advance to do clinics and really do well with it. Bring plenty to drink though and some cough drops because you'll be talking a lot. I would say a big ass TV hung way up to show those at the back of the crowd.

Would be great to have you and Bob Nunley, and Stevie Moore, Matt Krah, and anyone else you recommend to teach and two tables going.

I will be HAPPY to share the booth cost with you and would like to have some sort of dedication/tribute/memorial for Hal Houle just to make sure he is included and given some credit for bringing the concept of objective aiming systems to us all. I don't want to be a part of the teaching staff but I would like it if we had a CTE round table of sorts in private for the more dedicated and advanced users to kind of share our experiences on the table together. (count me as dedicated but not advanced).

I know you will be treated like a celebrity there based just on the amount of people who come up to me expressly to say thanks for the CTE videos. For you it will be in the hundreds I am sure.

Let me be the first in this thread to say thanks again for all you do to advance pool!

The modern approach to aiming would be a real hit at this show, I think.
A booth with the men who can demonstrate it would be a great addition.
CTE seems to be the real deal. The youtube videos are very comprehensive and quite easy to follow.
Nothing like seeing the inventor in person, though.

I would be interested in learning more about CTE up close and personal.

John,

Thanks for your note. I appreciate your thoughts and ideas concerning next year's SBE. I apologize for the delay in my response as I wanted to chew on it for awhile.

My first concern at this time is to complete my book project. Everything should be wrapped up this year but there are things out of my control that can leak into next year.

Having said all of that, some of what you suggested can done at your facility for my official book release.

Anyway, it is hard to plan the SBE at this point for next year for a few reasons that I do not care to go into here. But 2 years from now is more like it as I see it at this time.

Again, thank you for your ongoing support.

I am very interested in CTE but am cautious on the purchase of the DVD. I can't stand most DVD instructional stuff most of it is really poorly made and I am just like " Please buy some lights".. Definitely going to buy the book when it comes out.

Would love to see a demonstration though so maybe if there is a convention and someone is there showing it off I'd definitely try and check it out.

A good decision at this point.
At about book release time there will be some super informational free online videos. These videos will be totally revealing of the CTE process. There are 3 reasons for these online videos.
1. As an update to DVD2 as I promised
2. Prospective book purchasers can see what CTE is first before buying the book if they so choose.,
3, if I don't put my findings online someone else will and will lay claim and attention to it as their version. I have worked too hard to put my work into book form and then some jack wagon come along and video it for their benefit. So, I have no choice in the matter.

Concerning my DVDs: They are well produced. I invested 13G in DVD1 and about 18G in DVD2. I have just about sold out for each production. My only regret is that I did not take pictures of the 50 plus large boxes of DVDs that graced our home once upon a time.
