CTE PRO ONE: perception discussion

This is for the users of CTE PRO ONE, something to think about, and maybe some interesting answers will come about.

Here we have two different shots, both requiring the same visuals to pocket the ball in the top-left corner. That is, CTEL-C with a left sweep/pivot.

Two separate shots, two separate angles to the pocket, yet the same visuals/sweep take you to center pocket. Why? What is going on with our perception on these two shots that lead us to slightly different shot angles?

So in a quest to answer that question, lets answer this first. Set these up on your own table. For each shot, line up the CTEL-C visuals. Once there (eyes are now on fixed cueball), draw a mental line through CCB and toward the OB. Where is this line in relation to the OB? Is it the same for each shot, or different? I know my answer, I want to hear yours.

Who knows -- why does the phone always ring when you're in the shower?

Just slightly more seriously it is worth noting that on one shot you are likely to be bridging on the rail, the other on the slate. What that does to those with CTE brain cells... I have no clue :-)

With pro one, the bridge placement has very little effect. Thanks for the input Lou.

I believe the next step here in ball pocketing is to tap into your unconsciousness so that you may develop the sense of touch and feel necessary to pocket the ball.
