Cue Balance.

FWIW, I used a round item as a fulcrum, measured the balance on my Jacoby with Tiger X shaft. Balance point is around 20", including the bumper in the measurement. So, I guess it has a slight forward balance? Feels good to me, but what do I know?

Im asking, is there a cue maker who will make me a cue? Maybe Dan Can change the Balance of my Joss?

If I could get a cue maker to change the balance of the cues I have without ruining them Id consider this..

One thing to consider is the weight of your current shafts.
If they are light, as in 3.2 - 3.6 ounces, you could always try a shaft that is at or above 4 ounces. It will add some weight and bring the balance forward.

Good luck.

Koop - likes em between 4.4 and 4.6 ounces.

I truely dont feel onfortable until I hit with the Schuler, instantly my game improves. I

Searching for a cue that feels right to me, the only cue to really feel right is the Ray Schuler,

Id like to have a 60" version. and Im done with buying cue's for awhile, I just want to play.

Im asking, is there a cue maker who will make me a cue?
??? Why wouldn't you just ask the Schuler Cue company?

They probably have the easiest balancing system in the world. All of their shafts are weighed and labeled (yours should have the weight in grams written on the shaft joint face).

Their weight plug system makes adding or subtracting weight simply the easiest in the industry. So, if you can change the weight at both ends in an understandable fashion like Schuler cues can, then you can nail whatever balance you want.

Yes, it has 109 R

Ive tried to contact Schuler, with No luck. I would like to give Albrecht a shot, I like the style of his cues, Plus the Balance point is right. He also told me He likes the same feel as I do, and that is a definate plus.

This means I may need to adjust, but to the hit, not the balance, whitch wouldnt be that difficult for me, its the balance that gives me trouble.

109 is the weight in grams. 3.84 oz. To my knowledge, there isn't an 'R' shaft for Schuler. http://store.schulercue.com/WSWrapper.jsp?mypage=Shaft.htm

My shafts are almost a 1/2 oz heavier. If you get a heavier shaft, and drop weight at the plug, that balance point goes forward by an inch or so.

Well, good luck to you. If they make a cue you like, then all the power to you. I hope you got answers to your initial question, if you're still considering using your Schuler.

Fred, Id want nothing less than a 60" Shuler to play with, and that may be a P instead of an R, Looks like a P with a line through it.

It may be a good Idea to stick with a Brand I know I like, as I didnt even realize it was the Balance of the cues I was using that was making me unconfortable untill I started hitting balls with the Schuler, I'll at least call Schuler and get a quote before I move on another cue, That is a Promise.
