Ok, this is a bit different, seen something similar but was on some real high end cues.
I was sent a box full of Cue Ball. What in the heck am I going to do with a box full of these things. Thought about making some Butts, Joints and ferrules, but that gets a bit boring on my end.
Was talking to one of my buddies about all these flipping cue balls and he said "make some cues up and number them"
So after some further talking, this is what we came up with, not sure if it would be a big hit or just belly flop.
Still details but the plan:
Do 10 cues, sign and number them from 1-10
Cues are conversions-Dufferins or 4 Prong full Splice
Cue ball butt, joint and a ferrule
First come first serve on picking a number
Matching JP's
Inlayed or Not-Decide before we start
$350 to $600 depending on what you(10 Customers) decide to do before we start
10 weeks to finish them all
Everything nailed down before we start
This would do a couple of thing
Me-Gives me something to do other than making Cue Parts
Help fund the next piece of equipment
You-Gives you something a bit different than a normal old build
Will be interesting and fun. Great cue to boot.
(had a couple people ask about using one of their sneaky petes or house cues)
Would be ok
