Cue Ball Deflection Ranges for 7 Fractional Aims

I think these images will be useful to those of us who don't have a really sharp visual of what can be done with the cue ball after collision with the object ball. I figured that each fractional aim has to have a range of post-collision cue ball paths from softest follow to most severe draw, so I combined my own measurements with what I found on Dr. Dave's website to come up with these images. The final angles I decided on are compromises but close enough to get an idea of what's possible. Throw is also accounted for, such as a half ball hit here being 27 degrees rather than the theoretical 30 degrees. Here are the angles and ranges in degrees for post collision cue ball deflection for each fraction:

1st = shot angle, 2nd = soft follow angle, 3rd = average draw angle, (4th = total range of post-collision cue ball path possibilities)

7/8: 7, 15, 30 backward, (135)
3/4: 14, 30, 50 backward, (100)
5/8: 20, 35, 70 backward, (75)
1/2: 27, 37, 90 sideways, (53)
3/8: 37, 35, 75 forward, (40)
1/4: 47, 30, 60 forward, (30)
1/8: 58, 25, 35 forward, (10)

Here are two .zip files containing all 14 images. I'll post the images individually as well which might take 3 replies.

I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum. I wanted to post it in the aiming forum. I just contacted a moderator to move it. Sorry about that.

How bout som voters?

Thanks for presenting this topic in a clear, original way. Your diagrams will help estimating where you can 'put the rock' depending on cut angle. Anyone interested in positional play will appreciate your effort.

Maybe you should put the post back into the main forum area too. The more people who see it, the better. I voted it as 'excellent' and urge members to 'vote it up' so it draws the attention it deserves.

Thanks, guys. I had actually put this thread in the 14.1 forum not the main forum. I thought about putting it in the main forum but I figured it should be in one of the instruction sub forums.
