Has anyone found data or created their own data on the actual stress a cue ball can take before failure? All of these break cue/speed/power threads had me thinking. I've heard that G10/G11 tips can crack a cue ball due to the tip having a higher hardness. My measle ball from Aramith has quite a few "tip shaped" dings in it from using a phenoloc tipped jump cue.
How much stress does it actually take for a cue ball to fail?
