Cue ball weight?

I know this has been on before. Sorry. I did a few searches but could not find what I am looking for.

I was playing yesterday & I noticed that the cue ball was acting differently so I put my reading glasses on & noticed it was the red S 'eye' looking ball.

Normally it's a red circle which I do not particularly like. I asked one of the hall owners about it & he said they are the same ball. The circle ball is the one bought sperately & the S 'eye' looking ball comes with the set.

I find this hard to believe after playing with the red circle for a couple of months & having this one thrown in on me & I noticed a difference almost immediately.

Since the forum seemed a little slow & I could not find the info in the searches, I thought I'd ask for some info regarding these two balls, if they are two different balls.

i think the red "eye" is an arameth ball, definately not the same as a red circle, it plays more like a meassle ball i.m.h.o.

I find the red logo cue ball you speak of to play a bit more lively than a measles ball.
