There is something out there by Dennis Deickman. I downloaded it a long time ago off his website which seems to be gone now. Fairly generic though. I looked but don't see the file. Its probably on one of my storage drives but I don't feel like looking through those.
2 things said above are great advice.
If you want to learn, spend the $70 on Chris' book. It will give you a good start and its a decent reference.
Secondly, if spending $70 bugs you, don't even think of getting into this. Its not hard to spend that on one nice piece of wood.
Oh, you can also go through the Cuemaker section here on AZ. Pretty much everything you need to know (and stuff you don't) is in there somewhere. I think it'd be a lot easier to buy Chris' book though.
