Cue building UPDATES

For a positive build, I'd refer to a cue i had built by Leon Sly. Nice amount of pics, comparable to what Bob produces in various build stages and great communication. The cue was delivered a few months from the predicted finish date but that was only after he had built a second forearm to make my cue even sharper looking. All the time reachable by phone or email and he reached out to me without being prompted for an update.

You're welcome for the morning giggle! I just have to laugh about it all now. I know Doug has my parts, he sent me pics of the forearm.....(Lee completed nothing more since the original purchase)

Biggest Bit*h is that it was my first custom order and probably my last attempt now. I know there are tons of reputable builders but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth!
 
I think it's getting more common - a lot of cuemakers, especially some of the up and coming ones, seem to be very serious about customer service. I've got a cue on order from Rich Geschrey at Esoteric Cues, and I get updates via text message with multiple pictures 3 or 4 times a week. It's a good trend.
