Cue butt warped? Leather wrap?

Dear all,

I have a cue that seems overall very straight.

However, when taking a look in detail, there seems to be a very small gap at the very end of the cue when rolling it. My guess is that the leather wrap may not be installed 100% perfectly and the cue is in reality not warped.

Have you had similar experiences? The very end of the cue is a uncommon area to be warped.

Could be either mentioned,
Or both.
And Yes, you would see it in the joint area.
Find a Cue maker or Cue mechanic and get it checked.
 
Could be a high wrap but could just be the butt taper too. Not all cues will lay flat on the table because they don’t all use a straight taper.

Regardless of why, if the gap is pretty consistent I wouldn’t worry about it
