Cue buying advice for under $100?

Thanks everyone. I ran across that Schmelke cue myself and thought I might suggest that one to her.

Nice to hear about the players and action cues hitting well. Maybe I'll go out and try a few out before recommending them though.

I'm late, but...

Players or Lucasi. They may be the same manufacturer.

Years ago, I bought a Lucasi, solid rosewood butt, points and 1 shaft, with radial pin for around $125. It was supposed to be a bar cue, but I was really surprised by how well it played and how nice the hit was.

Hi all, I haven't paid much attention to the cue market in a while and am hoping to draw on the AZB community for some advice.

I have a friend looking to buy her husband a cue for no more than $100. When I was in the market for my first real cue, I looked at McDermott and Meucci, maybe Hubler. What is a good no nonsense cue I can recommend?

They both enjoy playing pool but are not hard core by any means. Just recreational players.

Thanks in advance.

Thats too bad my advice... I usually bill my advice for around $150
