So here are some pics of my NEW case. I am waiting on a Trevor White cue. The cue is a 3/4 with ebony and amboyna burl splices.

The case is a Stamford Cuemakers double cut leather. I went with distressed brown and black leather to mimic the cue.

The anticipation is kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiling me!!!

Pretty but pretty impractible, £5 says after a month of use it'll be scuffed then you'll not bother to care for it so much and the following month it'll have the odd tear here and there in the leather and the following month it'll be on ebay.

What you really need now is a plastic box to protect the case that protects the cue. :D

LMAO!!!! That is probably true Wity........................Trev is shipping the cue in an aluminum case for me. So who knows I might just use it. I have a leather pool cue case as well and it has served me for a long time.

I am just waiting for him to get back to me. I feel like a school girl waiting for her prom date!!! LOL

For most of my working life i've had to use a briefcase daily and boy did i get through them. No kidding I muxt have had close on twenty leather ones in about 15 years and then i bought a samsonite hard plastic job. Immedietly you think plastic is cheap but that case cost me as much as a leather one looks just as class and took more of a beating than any boxing ring has ever seen. It's in as good a condition now as it was when i bought it about 17 years ago.

Not so surprising when you read the above that I'm no fan of leather cue cases. Although the golf bag type you yanks use for pool i imagine last as they at least have some protective studs or the like on the bottom. English style cases are purely for posing though, hell unless you buy a 3 channelled one they aint even big enough.

If i'm just going for a game of pool then i've no need for a mini butt or longer extension so i just us a tube type case (search for Wity's cases at the tsf) 30mm water pipe, thats all it is and it protects the cue just fine unlless soe idiot wants to practice his kung fu as its propped up the wall.

However when i go to play snooker I hate to not take everything i need. Actually I need one out of say 10 items but you can gaurentee if i aint took the lot the one i do need is always left behind. So a 3 channelled case is essential to carry cue, mini butt, telescopic, my tips, glue, sandpaper, towel, and that funny little plastic thing Steve Davis loves so much you put on the end of a spider occasionally (in my case once the day i bought it 3 yrs ago and never since, although i've always needed it if i leave it at home) So a 3 channel job is my favourite and the best i've found is the Lewis and Wilson hard vinyle job that has a zipper fastening. Craftsmancues.com sell em for £39 +P+P and at that price I couldnt be arsed if they get ruined, Lol I've actually got 4 of them, so good and so cheap occasionally on ebay auctions I couldnt say no)

Problem i now have though is i've bought one of those flexi rests so i'm carrying two cases around with me now. Gawd help me when i fancy going to play snooker and pool and try out a new cue in one session then its 3 of the buggers. :D
