Cue cases with kickstands

Fellow pool players:

Does any company you know of make cue cases with kickstands (so they stand up by themselves) in sizes *other* than 2x4? I've been trying to find a 3x5 or 3x6 with a kick stand, but all I can find are 2x4s, and a built-from-scratch custom case is out of my price range.

Thanks!

If you can find the makers, this is an awesome stand.

I recently bought the pictured Instroke buffalo with the attached stand. I was told that these stands are made in KY or somewhere there abouts for around $50-75. I don't know where to find one, but I would recommend a detachable like this because it spreads wider (like the Larry Craig stance) than the ones that are permanently attached to the import cases, making it more stable from falling over. I looked at the imports and they are not stable or I would have bought one. If someone here knows where to find one similar to mine, please advise. I might try to contact the seller again and get more info on these if someone is interested. It also fits my 3x6 Murnak just fine because of the adjuestable straps. The strapping is very secure lace through velcro. It is COOL!:) :)

It was a guy in the booth beside us at the expo that took a camera tripod and used velcro straps to attach it to his case. Worked pretty good and was only a few bucks.

Have two players and a 24 .oz breaker in that thing. Too much added weight. I'll pass

I could see someone modifying a "shooting stick" bipod with velcro to hold a case up.

Go buy a cheapo golf bag with a spring stand. Take the stand off it and modify it

Since I have no ability to modify anything successfully, I may just use my golf bag w/spring stand as a cue case.
I'm tired of my Whitten getting knocked over all the time at league, and if I forget my cues, the butt end of a 9-iron hits pretty good.

There you go get one of those Giant oversized "Rodney Dangerfield" Bags the look on peoples face would be priceless when you set up shop:grin-square:

Especially if I could find the actual Rodney Dangerfield "Caddyshack" bag.
A guy on my Monday night VNEA team has that movie memorized.

BTW, I wasn't kidding about using the butt end of a 9-iron.
Years ago when I had a table in my basement, I got tired of short cues and tried a 9-iron.
It worked very well, people should try it, better balance than a short cue and you don't need chalk with the rubber grip...no shit

The cue case stand, as pictured above buy "our auction guy" with the brown instroke case, looks like the ones Pappy makes in his basement. Pappy is my father in law, and lives and plays in Eastern PA. They use wooden legs and a spine, with brass hinged arms. Weigh about same as a cue. The stands are strong, and it takes a lot to knock them over, so they work well at tournaments with lots of people bumping into things. You can also set the stand/case up/open and play right out of them. They do not work on soft case, but will work with most every manufacturer of oval, rectangular, and square case. They do no harm to case, as the stand is only held on to the case via velcro straps, which means the stand can also be easily moved from case to case.

I gotta ask...where are you guys playing where you have the room to spread out that much?
My case usually ends up under the table

i met a guy at SBE who had a stand on his case.got in touch with the maker. he had one left. $stand and shipping $71. just got it and am totally pleased. i'll get in touch with him and ask if he will mind posting his info. keep tuned here foe info.

A buddy of mine had one of the aska cases with a kickstand, and while very functional, it took up a lot of room. He didn't use the kickstand during league for this reason.
