Cue cases

It's not worth it to patent anything about a cue case. I have been down that road a dozen times.

Some people get what is called a design patent which covers the "look" of the case. It's much easier to get than a utility patent which covers how the case works.

But design patents are easy to get around by simply changing the look a little bit. They only cover exact copies of something.

So the answer is pretty much yes. Someone innovates and others generally copy that innovation. Sometimes the copier even makes an improvement which then is copied by the company that made the original.

Some cases makers have friends to help them out .
Pulling from all over too make something sweet ..
Sometimes 2 heads are better then one..
