I've just been informed that I've won a shopping spree on another very popular pool forum. Therefore I will not be needing this case. Please sell mine to someone else. I'm no longer interested.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Your PM box is full. I am interested in ordering one of these cases as well.
Please send me a PM and let me know pricing for the following:
2x4 smooth black ???
3x5 or 3x6 (if available) smooth black ???

Thanks,
Alvin

OK, I think I got enough feedbacks and PMs to make me think twice on this group buy. I decided to just provide the contact info to the people who are interested in these cases but not to do the group buy. For people who don't like this idea and even think it is illegal to buy these cases, let me ask you these questions - lots of US cue makers make SW styles cues, are they doing this illegally? Are they stealing SouthWest’s design? When you go to a barber shop and ask your barber to have your hair done like the one in a fashion magazine, is your barber or you stealing other hair designer’s idea? In my opinion, if the original designers don’t like other people to copy their designs, they should file a design trademark, otherwise, it is an open market; people can and will legally imitate good ideas.

Everyone knows South West makes the best hitting cues. What set SW apart is not the design, but its playing quality. You can buy a $50 SW style cue, but it will never play like a real SW. You can buy a $20,000 MR2 Ferrari Kit car, but it won’t run like a real Ferrari. You pay what you get and YOU have the decision to choose what you want.

I apologize to the people who participated in this group buy and if you need the contact info of the cue manufacture, please PM me.

Thanks

South West and some other cuemakers make a lot of Kirsenbrock style cues. Are they stealing Kirsenbrock's design?

:D :D :D

I agree

Southwest = Jerry Franklin and David Paul Kershenbrock

I agree...Imitation the best form of flattery.

If you can afford it, I suggest buying the real thing...if you want a knock-off than buy one of these.

But you get what you pay for in most cases--if you have cues that are worth a significant amount of money why put them in a cheap case:

Thank you for your comment. I can appreciate where you are coming from and I also appreciate your concerne. But for me, I would not spend $400 dollars on a cue case. I would rather spend the money on a nice cue. After all, you don't play pool with a cue case :)
Thats Like buying a great home and not insuring It!

Now I feel bad. Ying was a new member to our board who was trying to offer somthing of value to our members who would like a Whitten but couldn't or didn't want to afford one. I was having a bad day and was feeling pissed at the world. I would like to apologize to him and the rest of AZ for messing with his thread and hope that he reconsiders and puts the deal together so everyone can have a chance to get a good deal on a case. If that happens I would be interested in hearing about them.

I agree with lenoxmjs

Not everyone can afford a Whitten or a Justis...these knock-off cases have come a long way and these are likely much better than the instroke cowboy style...I would really like to see the feedback on them myself as well...Pauly

I don't know about anyone else but I received prices but the 3x6 or 4x8 question was never answered, so I don't know what the price was for
