How about an algoritm to match a pool hall with a cue and gun to take??
Just kidding.
I would think many of the more estabilished cuemakers have databases they keep on every cue the build. Wonder what information they keep to describe a cue beyond serial number, date built, and photos?
I have thought that working backwards a standard list of items to describe a new cue would help many in ordering a first custom cue. Many cuemakers have their own list, but it might help to develop an AZ standard.
For insurance purposes, the current value of a cue linked to a date would be helpful in a database. Linking to photos in the case of theft would be nice.
How to save multiple copies of the database (in case of a computer being stolen) is another important feature.
