I have new Predator SP4RJ. I want to have the butt cap converted to a Bumperless. Who's the person to do this in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks, Frank

Any cuemaker can do it. You will also need to have the cue refinished after. As long as you don't care how much it will cost, you can find tons of people willing to take on this work.
 
Decided to leave it stock. No need for more replies....but thanks.

I might try to make a finished cap to replace(screw into)the bumper. It is threaded.

I would personally leave it as is, or have a bumperless sneaky made with the same pin so your pred shaft will mate up to it. There's a ton of cuemakers on here that will make it for probably the around the same cost, or even less, as having to re-work your cue. It's pretty much converting a house cue and making it bumperless which is an easy job for most decent CM's.

Also, having things changed on a production cue will drastically hurt what value it has. You will have a hard time selling it if you ever choose to do so. That being said, if you plan to keep it for life, Scot at Proficient Billiards does amazing work. Cheers, Brett.

I used PB before to refinish a cue and it turned out perfect. I wanted someone locally but shipping is ok. Scott does turn things around in a timely fashion. I had the Predator for about 3 years. It's not my player. It sits in a case. I thought about changing the butt cap just for fun. I did that with a different Pred sneaky. If I can get or make something to screw into the butt that'll do it. My gut as of now is leave it alone.
