Cue extension for a Predator sneaky.

Hey all! I was wondering if anyone could/would build a 6-10 inch extension for a predator sneaky. dont really care for wood type as it would be used rarely. Id like to use an extension over a bridge.

I dont have any weight bolt in the cue so i would basically have to take off the rubber bumper and screw in the extension. Sadly the pin would have to be a few inches in length as it is recessed quite a bit. I do not know what thread size the predator weight bolts are that would now be used for the extension.

Would this be economical or the correct thing to do? Ive looked at the hagger extensions and the one ive seen seen in the WTS section for 22/32 bucks. I would prefer using a screw in extension rather than the two previously mentioned.

are you looking at any particular wood for the piece,i believe this is easily done,the only issues i see how long the threaded rod needs to be to secure the extension properly and diameter of the extension.also do you want a different bumper or just a hole in the rear of the extension,to stick the pedator bumper on.

Instead of messing around with the bumper every time you need to use the extension, have an extension made for the middle of your cue. Being a Predator, I'm assuming it has a Uni-Loc Quick Release pin, right? Half twist apart, put the extension on the butt, put the shaft on the extension, half twist and it's secure.

I've made quite a few, and am making one right now for another customer. If you're interested, PM me or text me at 218-591-3469.

In most formats it would be a lose of game to break
Your cue down and add an extension.but not if you add
To the rear.

That is not the case according WPA-rules unless during the opponent’s decisive rack of a match:

1.11 Concession
If a player concedes, he loses the match. For example, if a player unscrews his jointed playing cue stick while the opponent is at the table and during the opponent’s decisive rack of a match, it will be considered a concession of the match.

though I prefer a normal extension, and I would also be interested in such an extension for predator cues that have the newer weight bolt system.

According my measurements the bolt is 5/8 inch in diameter and has 16-18 threads per inch.

You're allowed to change shafts during a match, so inserting an extension wouldn't be any different. The important thing is that you gotta do stuff like this during your turn, NOT while your opponent is at the table. I know people that have a break shaft and a playing shaft for their cue and switch shafts back and forth before and after breaking. Seems like a pain in the butt, but they do it.

@jobba

the predator sneaky i shoot with is a few years old and the thread for the weight bolt (i have no weight in my cue) is recessed several inches. so i would have needed an extension with a pin that was 4+ inches long. that was basically my determining factor in deciding a extension between shaft and butt. so if you have a predator with the same situation i would also suggest the same as i ordered.

Regardless thank for the suggestion to an extension to the butt of the cue.
