A couple questions about cue extensions:

jacoby's extension... I believe you turn it counterclockwise to unscrew and extend and clockwise to lock. I think these are really handly but how much weight do these add to butt of a cue?

With one of these installed will it effect the hit of a cue?

If it was installed in an existing cue you were already playing I don't see how it couldn't.
The ideal cue is as few parts as possible and the parts in the cue have to preform as one unit. Screw on parts and movable parts have to in some instances create problems. As far as feel goes, almost everything changes the feel of the cue. From tip to ferrule to even the wrap.

Cue extensions

I know Chilton Custom Cues makes an extension for cues with Unilock joints. I believe they are about 10-12 inches long and screw in between the butt end and the shaft. Very nice because when it isn't needed it is not on your cue.
