Cue Extensions

this will fit any cue
it is similar to the old hagar extension
it does not leave marks on the butt of your cue ( i was going to say it doesnt scratch your butt but (pun intended) i didnt want to hear the jokes and it doesnt scratch your butt )😂

if they don’t make an extension for the cue I have, this looks like a good alternative unless I want to start all over and upgrade my predator and get a new cue and extension. I’d have to give that some thought.

Not sure what you’re saying. Someone above wrote that the QR2 fits on all 2012 and newer Predators not older. I have the QR2, which is M16-1.5.

I wish I still had my QR1. My memory is faulty, but the difference was that it didn’t use a bullet nose uniloc for the extension. But I think the QR1 adapter was the same thread as the QR2. But it’s all a haze.
Oh... maybe I'm wrong. I though m16-1.5 was the older Predator thread. Either way, that is what I did and it worked with what I was told is a Predator compatible extension/bumper.

A cuemaker could do a whole lot of things, but if someone that’s not a cuemaker is an experienced metal lathe user, I’m sure they could do a lot, too.
Yup... I'm no expert with a lathe, but making something round and making a matching round hole isn't too hard. :) The nut might have been 50 cents.

Here's my cue

I ran into a man that used a piece of pvc for an ext . He was not concerned at all about scratching up his cue . I did not use it ,I would think it would feel strange .

Older cues uses 3/8-16. You can get bumper kits that will work fine. Prather, Unique and others sell these. They are not compatible with the Bullet pin that Predator uses in their extensions. So you have a couple of choices:
- have a competent cue maker machine M16x1.5 threads.
- Buy the extension kit I mentioned and swap out the Bullet pin with the pin that comes with the kit
- Have a cuemaker make you an extension with said bumper kit

I'm not sure I understand this:

"Buy the extension kit I mentioned and swap out the Bullet pin with the pin that comes with the kit"

Which of these do I need or are these just for custom extensions?

After I get the right kit will any new Predator extension fit?

If this is a Predator, it must be older than 2012. If the thread is a 3/8-16, there are off-the-shelf solutions.

It's quite a bit older than 2012. Off the shelf solutions are exactly what I am looking for. I don't want to start looking around for a cue maker to make changes. The more suggestions I get the better.

Tiger sells a 3/8-16 bumper and extension. They're excellent. https://tigerproducts.com/products/tiger-cue-x-tension-kit

Any cue I have that I use and has a 3/8-16 bumper, I install an off-the-shelf Tom Migliore extension (TNS Cues). I had an extension built to fit the extension, so I have at least 5 cues that use the same extension. I'll edit this post to add the photos.

Yes If you allready have the Predator extension and don't want to have the cue altered in any way. The bumper from the Prather extension kit, screws right in to the cue and you have a competent person swap the pin in the Predator extension to the pin you togheter with the bumper from Prather.
