Cue for a beginner

I want to get an inexpensive cue for my gf, but one that's not total garbage. I was looking at the Cutecs, but I really don't like the fiberglass shafts. I came across the Sterling discount cues and they look nice. I'm looking for something in the $50 range. So, what's the best beginner cue in that range?

Yeah, my buddy uses one a those for a break cue. Works great. Probably the best cue out there under a hundred bucks.

I suggest a madagascar rosewood forearm with tight birdseye maple handle.
Ok, I can't make it for $50.
I concur with the Dufferin suggestion.

I play with a cuetec and all of the banging around of the cue your GF is going to do with it, having a fiberglass shaft is perfect for her.....

I play with a cuetec hustler on barboxs. Ya can't beat them, I mean ya can beat them and they stay as smooth as silk.

Their fiberglass technology has greatly improved. Mine warped slightly in about 2 years time, but I leave it in the trunk under all kinds of hot and cold conditions. But for 60 bucks, you cannot go wrong.

Cuetec cues are good cues to play with. The shafts can be wiped down with a damp paper towl and dry within moments with a dry towl and ready to play....If something happens to it, it is easily replacable..
