What construction elements would help a person with arthritis and shoulder problems? Things I have found that I prefer are:
weight forward balance, soft impact with a lot of power, larger butt end, about 19.5oz.
I'm looking for info on joints, type of wood, all materials etc.

LOL spktur! I thought about shooting my opponents but then I'd have no one to play with?

My friend had a very thick handle/wrap area made because he couldn't grip the cue. I think an experienced cuemaker might be able to come up with some great solutions for you. Unlike other things I think SIZE MATTERS in this case.
perhaps a double cork or maybe triple cork wrap, or maybe real light wood in handle but much thicker as I've seen a friend of mine use. Are you a pretty good player?? MIght have a bearing on the subject?
The late Paul Fanelli made a wonderful piece to assist a friend that was handicapped. He now plays with one hand almost as well as he did with two??

I can run about 30 balls in straight pool. I play pretty well but the next day is pretty painful and I never play 2 days in a row. I'm looking for comfort first, playability second.

For a larger butt I know LOL, now thats done. Might try Earl's way tennis racket wrap or golf club wrap. Or you might want to order the rubber wrap on line at Muller's they add a lot of bulk to the handle. Hope this helps. :)
