Cue hitting too stiff

In the search for the Shaft that gives us the least amout of deflection or squirt.

Is there ever such a thing where a cue/shaft hits too stiff?

everything being equal, a stiff shaft will give you more deflection,,,,,but it is also more predictable and consistant.

I was a huge fan of an Espiritu/314 combo until I tried a Schon/314 combo. It feels much better to me.

How much of a difference was there between the Espiritu and the Schon?

I had a Schon LTD, for 4 yrs, but it was back when i was just a ball banger and didnt know what i was doing, and i ended up getting rid of it before i actually learned how to play decently.

I've had this Espiritu since April, and really like the way it hits and plays.

If i went and bought a Schon, would i notice the difference?

I think you would. I have a Schon LTD and it just hits "smoother" with a 314 than the Espiritu does. It doesn't feel like it's as "hard" of a hit. Does that make sense? Also I noticed a HUGE difference in the weight balance. I don't think I can go back to an Espiritu now.

I just got one of those new smart shaft or universal shaft I think it is to stiff . It's a layered shaft low deflectiom model with a med morri and a ferulle that won't get dirty I might just have to trade it or get rid of it lol it's a 229 dollar break shaft with a 3/8 10 adapter can get different ones lol I don't have a break cue I hit about 5 or 6 racks with it just not my kind of shaft to stiff to play with but breaks like a hammer.

I have seen High Speed Photography of Cue Hitting Balls. At the MOMENT of Impact, the Cue does an "S"eeee Thing for a Split Second until the Q Ball leave the Point of Contact. It it Did not I am Sure you Shaft would burst, Crack, or. Plus the Cue Ball Might be damaged. Where are all the Engineers... :)

What weight is that Schon, and does the shaft match exactly?

Thanks
