No, nor would I ever use one...looks like it would damage your cue and be a pain to pull your cue all the way in and out of.

It is made out of soft plastic and is very easy to slide a cue in and out of. It clamps to any horizontal surface such as, table, stool or in house cue rack.

Cue holder...

I'd have to go with Shorty on this. I've seen other versions where they had cut aways so you didn't have to lift the cue in and out to access them. Plus, you can't really fit it in your carrying case so it's not conveniently transportable. And If you have a table or a ledge nearby a 'Q-Claw' type holder seems like a better design. But hey, if that's what works for you.. then go for it. Just offering an educated opinion.

Where do you find a Q-Claw? I have never seen one before....Ron

It looks homemade to me.

I also agree with those who say it would be a pain in the butt to use and there is a chance of damaging your cues.

I have at least three different cue holders which are better than this design, but I'm always looking for something better.

Q-Claw

You can find them in most billiard supply places and pretty much everywhere online. This is eBay stuff:

Q-Claw

You could try Nielsens billiards on eBay also.. Joe is a good guy to deal with.

Here is one of the better cue holders on the market, IMO. It is very light, as it is machined of aluminum, and breaks completely down for storage in most case pockets. Additionally, when clamping to a table isn't an option, it can be used without the clamp, because of the non-skid rubber across the bottom.
I am actually going to pick one of these up myself. It comes in several colors of anodized aluminum. Look at the tip tools link for the colors available.

Lisa, it is very nice but I would like something that keeps the cue from falling over. One thing for sure the quality of it is excellent....Ron

Or, if you want elegant, and to match your cue, check this one out. It will not fit in your case, but does come with a carrying pouch that I just clip to the strap on my case. He can make them out of just about any wood you choose, and they last a long time. I have two, one in cocobolo, and one I picked up off eBay for 15.00 in birdseye maple. The cocobolo I have had for about 5 years now, still looks like new! They are very nice, and do a fine job of protecting your cue.

He used to have a website, but it does not appear to be functioning at the moment.
The one shown is zebrawood.

Withy the depth of the grooves in both above pictures. I dont see ur cue "easily" falling over. Would take a kick from behind to make the cue come foward and in return fall over. Not very many people are gonne be sitting under ur table, LoL. Table is the only thing behind the cue in most cases.....=-)

I have never had a cue fall out of this style holder. I also make it a point to attach to an area of the table that sees no or very little foot traffic. Have not had a mishap yet with this style of holder.

I picked this cue holder up at Valley Forge, last March. It just clips to any table top or chair arm. The only draw back is, it doesn't fit in the pocket of my cue case. You can get them on line, from Seybert's.
