Cue ID Help - St. Louie Louie cue?

I'm helping out a friend who's been given a few old cues ID and value them. (I hope this is the right forum, let me know if these cue ID help posts are supposed to go in the Sale/Wanted forum instead)

This cue is very plain, I'm guessing a Rosewood handle and butt, linen wrap and 2 shafts. It's clearly seen some action and does not appear to have been restored in any way. The joint pin is metal, just so dirty it looks black in the photos. The white joint collar is cracked up but I can't tell if that's Ivory or just a plastic of some kind. The rest of the collars, rings etc. all appear to be black plastic. There's no ID marks I can see except the name "St. Louie Louie" on the butt cap. Never heard of a cue with his name on it, does anyone know who made it and when?

It came in the Fellini-style case pictured, but there's no Fellini label in the cap, no idea how else to identify it. There's 4 brown feet in a diamond on the bottom, most Fellini's I've seen had 6.) It has "Viking" engraved in very small letters on the catch, did Viking cues ever make/market cases like this?

Thanks for any input.

Viking did make a case like that,I remember the top was very short, could'nt get a 60" cue in one. Mark Wilson might know who St.Louie Louie is.

> Unless someone dishonest did this to make some money off this cue, this looks like an old Meucci that was made for Louie Roberts, aka St. Louis Louie,a great player back in the 70's and 80's. Practically all he used were Meucci's,some of them very unique, some simpler but all had his name on them in some form or another. He lost a BUNCH of these cues putting them up for collateral in games,or sold them to make money for a game. Bob Meucci or Bill Randolph at the Billiard Pro Shop in Memphis would be your best bet for authentication of Meucci cues,Bob was still heavily involved with the cuemaking process back then and Bill was Meucci's shop manager for close to 20 years.
