Cue ID Please

All I know is no-one knows and I have asked plenty. Previous owner indicated Asian in origin, but was just a quess. Very well made, obviously used with high frequency as seen in pictures. Any help would be appreciated.

The previous owner thought Asian - probably it is Asian.
Why the reluctance to accept it was made in Asia?
