Looks like one of the late 60s, early 70s Titlists.......it was around this time that the quality of the splices had begun to go downhill. I think they had even outsourced them by that point. Maybe Tate or someone else will chime in.
Would you say it's junk then or is it worth converting? Thanks
No, I wouldn't say it's junk....probably interesting for someone that collects 'em. From the pic, it appears to have an issue going on with the outer purple veneer. You'd need to talk with a cuemaker than is familiar with converting these and provide him some measurements (diameters at least to the hundredths of an inch) at a few critical spots. Some of these I've seen are quite thin and therefore not great conversion candidates.
