cue id

was wondering if there was a cue id section? i have a schon r5/sp6 but its not exactly like any ive seen does anyone know if when you bought an earlier schon if you could like maybe pick different color wrap or different color rings?? The reason im asking is i ordered a new 11.5 shaft just to try it and to have a schon because the shaft thats with it i dont think its an actual schon at least the tip isnt. But after looking the rings on new shaft are silver the rings on my schon are gold.

Schon made variations of their models, using different woods at times. I don't think you could get a "standard" model form them with a gold ring though. At least I have not seen any and I've been looking at their catalogs since around 1988 or so. But the owner could have ordered a special run, or replaced the ring at some point.

They are most likely gold from a finish lift or tarnish. I have seen this happen several times with the rings on older schon's. Once I had it refinished it the went back to silver in color.
