Sleeve and cap look like a mod.

I can't believe that...tape around the case, label taped on. Geez, nothing like advertising what exactly your package is.

Its an import cheapie, I see them in the pawnshops pretty often. One interesting thing I've noticed is that some times they have a raminwood shaft and sometimes the have maple shafts.

I kind of figured. Was listed as Brunswick on eBay and the photos where craptastic at best. Only have $9.99 in it so I'm not out anything.

Hey Sore Aintya... did you buy that Espiritu on the table there from Scruggsinhand? looks good...

The cue is a Brunswick, it is one of the imports that was brought in from Taiwan back in the middle 60's and 70's.

Buy this time Brunswick was more focused on Boweling Allies, with Billiards as a sideline that was incorporated into the Boweling Alleys themselves.

This is where the Gold Crown I tables came into the picture they were originally designed as a commercial table for the Boweling alleys.

The Hoppe two piece cues that were made from Titlists were in their last evolution, and the quality was almost completely gone.

Some of these cues were marked, some were never marked, and some lost their markings, but the lack of quality was equal will all of them.

Maybe.
Looking to have it refinished ASAP.:)

Not a Brunswick

The joint - pin-in-shaft with integral pilot at the base, tags this as a Taiwanese import from the early to mid-70's. As far as I know, Brunswick never had any of these imports that used butterfly splices. Also, their imports of the period were well marked with either rollmarks in gold or the B'wick "B" under lucite. The joint while similar in design to the ones used on B'wick imports is slightly different dimensionally. The butt-sleeve is a knock-off of an Adam design. Many of the early Taiwanese imports utilized Adam designs in part or in whole. Interesting to look at, but not much else. Sorry.

Adios,

Pizza Bob
