Cue Identification/Anti Theft Device

At this point we've had only ideas regarding identification of cues for proof of ownership, after they've been found again.

If I'm allowed to daydream a little, I'd have a tracking device so I could hunt the cue, and its thief, down.

Ooh! Ooh! Or maybe a long range self- destruct mechanism. I'd be willing to give up the cue for that- it's already gone anyway, right?

Okay. Breathe. Gotta forgive and forget...

Well, it is always hard to find something back after it has been stolen. May be you are thinking about a GPS device. I am not sure how it can be done though. :(

Perhaps infra red and/or blue tooth devices can also be installed into our cues and we may even use our cell phone to track our cues, or to alarm us. But such devices only work within short distance.
