Cue Identification

Recently purchased a cue from an antique shop with "Jean Manuel" on the butt. It's ivory and linen. Picture to follow. Any idea if it was worth $38? I thought it looked like an old Mali.
Update: The case that it came in may be more valuable. It's a It's George black leather (ostrich?) 2x4 with strap.

I think you have a custom cue built by some smaller cuemaker. But it could be a production cue that has had the butt plate replaced.

Thanks for the response Cueman. I am from Rome, Ga! You literally live down the road from me. I should bring it by sometime and take a look at your operation. Yes, I just invited myself, sorry. I'm actually in Kennesaw these days.

Feel free to come by. Just call ahead and schedule a time. I grew up in Marietta so it looks like we swapped areas.
