Cue identification

I bought this cue on eBay because of the inlay work. The only knowledge the seller had is that the cue is 40 years old and that it is from Japan. Me personally, it resembles the work of helmstetter. (There is no signature on the cue anywhere) But just wondering if you guys have seen the cue or have a catalog with the cue in it? Any info would be appreciated.

Oh yeah didn’t think of that. And didn’t Richard Helmstetter build some of those cue? Have you seen it in a catalog anywhere?

I have been to the factory where Adam/Helmstetter cues were made back when Richard Helmstetter was living there in Iruma, Japan.

He gave me a tour of the factory while one of the Japanese workers replaced an ivory ferrule on one of my shafts.

I don’t think he did much of the actual work on the cues, but he probably designed most of them and supervised production.
