Cue image gallery

Just wanted to share this and see what you guys thought about it. Basically I'm trying to find a way for people to quickly go through a list of cues and find the ones they like - this is a first attempt at that.

http://cueexchange.com/Beta/ImageGallery.aspx

It's a little flashy but I think it's pretty cool. Another method would be to have a vertically scrolling list of images, which I think could actually show more cues at once.

With this method the 20 latest cues matching the search criteria you choose will be shown. 20-30 is about the limit since the images get too squeezed if you put many more on there. You can also click on the images to view the cue's details.

This is BETA, so that means all the bugs haven't been worked out, I just want opinions on the layout if you don't mind!

Thanks,
Zach

It helps, at least i wont get dizzy if i scroll too fast :p

Sorting them out in alphabetical order according the maker would probably help in the future.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I think some really neat things can be done with the display of cues - it's just a matter of getting enough cues in the database to play around with.

fruehlein - I like your site too! I especially like the way your cue images are setup with the thumbnails and then when you click those it loads the larger image. This is something I was thinking about doing with the "detail" pages for each cue. Do you mind telling me which flash component you're using for that? Or is it something you wrote?

Thanks!
Zach

There is also a zoom button in the lower left corner of the right frame to see hires pics (maybe you have seen it..)

I used Jalbum (its free)
http://jalbum.net/

For the main album i used the Simply Viewer plugin:

For all pictures I used Photostack

And for the 3D thing I used Tiltviwer

You will find there a lot of cool plugins, like this one:
