Even though i don't use one (have a 13x40 metal lathe,) a buddy of mine has the deluxe model. It is a very nice cue lathe. You can do anything a metal lathe can, it is already set up to taper, you can make your own stitch/slot rings, and you can even cut points on it as well. Hard to beat for the money.
