cue-healer

I am not worried about room space.MBy biggest concern is accuracy and durability. Am I better off buing a metal lathe, or desk top equiptment. Typical how much does it cost to convert metal lathe to cue making lathe? Just the basics. I feel at this time I dont need digital readouts (Would be nice though, $$). Im more or less talking about fixtures to hold wood behind head stock or through spindal hole, Indexing devise, taper bar, router. Im thinking of getting a tapershaper machine from unique products and some sort of lathe. Perhaps cuesmith delux. But I still like the idea of having a metal lathe. Sence Im probably not getting the cue shop from ebay!! Does anyone have any advice they would like to share with me. Will Probably spend approx $5500 before Christmas.
