Does anyone have any experience with Bassel's Beast cue lathe? I purchased one a few years ago and still can't get it to perform properly. When I received it the lead screw was bent. He replaced it with another. After using it a couple of times, the brass gear was destroyed. I contacted Bassel and he said the thread pitch was off a little on the lead screw and I would have to purchase the correct one along with a new brass gear. This made me extremely angry that I had to purchase something that he messed up. The next problem was the tailstock was off. If I centered it at the headstock, it was off over one tenth of an inch at the other end. How can you possibly turn anything straight with this much of a variation? Now the auto feed quit working. I rarely use this feature but now can't use it at all. The indexing feature of the headstock doesn't line up with the hole he made for the lock screw. I foolishly invested hard earned money in this lathe. Does anyone have any helpful hints on how to repair the problems?
