i was looking for some help here. a normal cues length doesnt seem to be right for me. i was looking to get a 59 in cue but not sure whether it should be in the shaft or the butt. if in the shaft which i am leaning more toward, how much will it change the balance in the cue or the whole cue in general. any input or inforation any1 can offer would help. thanks...........

Shaft length (oo er!)

Junkie:

I got myself a schon with a 29" butt and 32" shaft. The balance is just right for me (slightly forward) and the hit is great. The deflection did take a fair amount of getting used to though, as the shaft is somewhat more whippy that the predator I used to play with.

Love it, go for it. Just make sure that you don't enter any tournaments on the day you get the new cue/shaft. You have been warned!

I'm 6'2" and I felt that my 58" cue was too short. I ordered a custom 59" cue with 1/2" added to the shaft, and 1/2" to the butt. This is how the builder recommended the extra length be added. They also didn't recommend going much longer than 59". I really like the cue. I've also played with a cue that had a standard butt length, but a 1" longer shaft. Didn't like that as much. I was used to playing with a standard shaft on that cue butt, and the extra length in the shaft only, really messed me up.
