any thoughts on cue makers selling on e-bay one of my customers bought custom cue for good money five years ago now sees cue close to his on e-bay for quarter of the money being sold by that cue maker himself
To be honest its really the cuemakers business IMO how he prefers to have his business model.I think DP sold some cues here and there at those high prices but when he went to Ebay he is selling them faster then i believe he could physically do but he does. You get a good cue at a cheap price, but i agree it stinks for the guys 10 years ago who played $2000 for one of his cues that you can buy for $300 now.I personally wont buy a DP cue because of this and he was on my wish list many years ago but for some reason i dont consider his cues 1/1 or custom.
I have a teammate that bought a 1 of 1 DP off Ebay for less than $200. I guess its an ok cue for that kind of money but i wouldn't buy one. I feel sorry for all those who paid quadruple that a few years ago.
