Cue problem

I play snooker and rarely play anything else unless its with snooker balls on a snooker table (golf, Russian). I made a mistake, I think, and I'm looking for the best solution. I bought a Lucasi Hybrid cue with the slim shaft, thinking I was buying a snooker cue. My mistake for not having done a little more research to know that 11.75mm ferrules are not for snooker. I like to think that some of it was Heath Manning's mistake (manning cues.com) for not getting the message that I play snooker which I thought I made clear. Anyway, rather than buy a snooker cue (what am I going to do with the Lucasi, have it stuffed and mounted?) it seemed like a good idea to buy a snooker shaft to fit the Uni-Loc joint on the Lucasi. Heath tells me this is a custom job (read pricey). Does anybody know of a maker who sells snooker cues with Uni-Loc joints? Any other ideas?

I've been looking for a long time. Closest I've ever found is Players "Snooker" shafts, that are 11mm. An AZB member recently told me to contact Paul Drexler to have one made. I haven't done so yet, but I would imagine it won't be cheap. Good luck in your search, but I think you'll find yourself seeking out someone to simply make you one.

Jacoby next door to you in Wisconsin will make one. Call Tony at 715-886-2900. He quoted me $150 + shipping.

In Germany we do have 2 weeks time for a full revert of any "purchase made by distance". Don't you have something like this?
Can't this issue be resolved by talking to the owner?

In any way I would no do a funky stunt like this this. The feel will always be off.
Cuetec also offers a 11mm 3/8x14 shaft to be screwed onto a normal Cuetec butt.

Good luck, though.

I've had the cue for several weeks, probably 8-9. The problem is if I don't get a shaft to fit the Lucasi handle I'll never use it. Better to buy a shaft I think. 11mm is not small enough. For snooker 9 - 10mm is best.

I hear you. Not sure why the Lucasi with a new shaft will not be a proper snooker cue. 18oz 'empty'. Nothing wrong with the weight. Our German friend said it would not feel right but I'm not understanding that either.

I got so much input (not just here) that trying to transform the Lucasi was a dumb idea that I've abandoned it. I ordered a Riley Ken Doherty Legend and Heath is going to sell the Lucasi for me. Thanks to all for the feedback.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for helping Paul with your feed back :)
When I sold the Lucasi cue to Paul I was under the impression he was playing snooker on a 9ft table with 2 1/4" balls at the River Bend Club House.
The Lucasi Hybrid with 11.75 slim shaft would have been a great cue for this application.
A few weeks later I learned Paul was playing with the smaller snooker balls and we agreed the 11.75mm tip was to big and a dedicated snooker cue was the best option.

Paul I care about my clients and I'm happy you decided to go with the dedicated Riley Ken Doherty Legend snooker cue with extension.
I'm sure you'll love the cue :)

Members if you're looking for a great looking Cocobolo cue with 11.75mm low deflection shaft in new condition at a great price please let me know. A link to the cue is below.

No worries. If I ever make a 140 break I'll take out newspaper space to make sure everybody knows :)
