Cue Question

I am in the area to purchase a McDermott cue. I came across one that looks amazing to me, but i got worried about one detail.

Three piece butt construction helps provide straightness for the lifetime of the cue.The pieces are then hand glued to ensure a perfect fit.

Is this desireable compaired to other models that the butt is made of one piece.

Please keep in mind that i live in my car, so tempature changes will occur on a regular basis and are unavoidable. Hence im getting a cue with a lifetime warrenty against warping.

Please post any opinions on this paticular cue that you see fit. I am quite new to billiards, and do not even claim to know jack squat.

The three piece McD is referring to is the forearm, handle, and buttsleeve of a cue. The vast majority of 2-piece cues (pretty much everything aside from house cues) are constructed with a one-piece shaft, and a three-piece butt section as McDermott described.

Mcdermott's description has confused many novice buyers; you are not the first to be mystified.

I'm not sure McD will honor the warranty, if you keep your cue in your car all of the time. Those conditions will warp almost anything. :eek:
 
I dont see how they can prove i kept it in my car is the good thing.
The only thing i could see going wrong is if i have to replace the shaft 2X a year. If they keep track.
