i recently got a falcon cue. I had been using a fiberglass cue for sometime and developed a habit of moving balls on the table with my cue. I'm wondering if that would damage my wood cue in any way. Thanks for any help.

Anytime you use your cue to make contact with something (without using the tip) will cause damage. The damage may be so minor you can't see it to the naked eye, but over time it will show itself. Get in the habit of NOT smacking balls around with your shaft or butt. If it's got to be done, do it with care and guide the balls, not smack em'.

I couldn't agree more. You must yell at them and smack them periodically to make sure they behave - it is absolutely essential. Otherwise you will have to resort to the only reliable alternative - human sacrifice (just too expensive nowadays, and if it involves virgins then there is always the problem with availability). You can always find a new shaft if you need to.
